Bowling Tip and Technique

Whether you're an amateur or a recreational player, bowling is a great pastime. A big problem amateur or a recreational players have is that their bowling bowl always seems to have a fatal attraction to the gutter. Tired of gutter balls? Want to know the proper positioning of the feet and the right place to aim for strikes?

Here is my guide for Bowling Tip and Technique.

The first step is knowing how to hold the ball.

See the three holes? The isolated hole right in the middle, separate from the two holes closer together are for the thumbs. The other two holes are for you middle two fingers. (see the fingers painted red on the diagram below)

To hold the ball properly, hold the ball palm up with the thumb facing directly toward the ceiling. hen turn the thumb slight to the left to a 10 o'clock position. This is the way the ball should be held until its release.

Next, it is time for the approach. You should being your approach about four and a half steps behind the foul line of the lane. Therefore it should take you four steps from beginning the approach to releasing the ball.Approximately four steps away from the foul line is a row of dots. These dots tell you where to position your feet. For a righty, your left foot should be on the CENTER dot. Vice-versa for the lefty.

Hand Position is very important when you are playing..experts says that 45 degree is easiest hand position to use.
